I tested 5 B2B data providers for their ACTUAL cost per valid email.
The results will shock you.
All platforms had 50 emails exported, with Lusha having 38 exported.
We then calculated the number of actually verified emails using the LeadMagic email verifier API + the PRO+ Google Sheet.
We excluded catch-alls, unknowns, and invalids.
And we then calculated the actual verified rate, which is the percentage of actually verified emails against the total numbers of "valid" emails exported.
We then took the entry pricing tiers & the export limits of each platform.
And ran the actual verified percentage against the export limits to find out an approximation of the actual verified emails you'll have access to.
We then divided that number by the price of the package and created a cost per verified email for all packages labeled as Cost Per Verified P1 and Cost Per Verified P2.
Cost per verified is the metric that represents how much you'll actually be paying per actually verified email.
Apollo gave us an export of 50 verified emails.
In reality, 40 were actually valid, 9 were catchalls, and 1 was invalid/unknown.
The actual verified rate for Apollo came out as 80%.
The price for their entry package is $49 and allows for 250 exports, meaning that out of 250 emails you'd get 200 that are actually valid, bringing your cost per valid email to $0.25 cents.
The price for their 2nd package is $99 and allows for 1000 exports meaning that 800 emails will actually be valid, bringing their cost per valid email on the 2nd plan to $0.12 cents.
Not bad.
Now for Lusha, we exported 38 verified emails.
Out of which 14 were actually verified.
17 were catch-alls, and 7 were invalids/unknown.
Bringing the actual verified rate to a rounded 37%.
The price for their entry package is $39 and the export limit is 400 meaning that out of 400 exports only 147 will be valid hence bringing your cost per valid email to $0.26 cents.
The price for the second package is $69 and allows for 800 exports out of which your valids would only come down to 295 valid emails, therefore costing you a rounded $0.23 cents per valid email.
Seamless came down to $0.98 cents per actually valid email with a 60% actual verified rate.
Listkit came down to 5 cents for their entry package and 0.045 cents for their $179 package with an actual verified rate of 78%.
And RocketReach to 62 cents & 70 cents with a 68% valid rate.
Who wins?
It's complicated.
The highest verified rate was found in Apollo with 80%.
The lowest cost per actual verified email was found in Listkit with $0.045 cents per verified email.
Apollo is the most accurate.
Listkit is adequately accurate but the cheapest.
The most expensive was Seamless, costing 98 cents per actually verified email.
While the least accurate was Lusha with a rounded 37% accuracy rate.
I am going to let you make your deductions as none of the providers have paid me enough to highlight a sole winner. 😂
