$47 Grocery Week for 2 ($23.50 per person) | Dollar Meal Ideas

$46.85 for a week’s groceries for 2 people ($23.42 per person.) That’s less than most Americans spend on food, but it’s not that hard to eat well for that amount as long as you shop at a discount store like Winco. This was quite similar to my food budget and what I ate in college. A lot of meal prep.

These portions are for an 1800 calorie diet.

*I also got a few cents off the grocery bill for bringing my own bags
*I noticed later from my receipt that I was charged for sweet onions instead of yellow onions. Sweet onions are twice as expensive as yellow onions, so I was overcharged by about $1 :(
