Autumn Edgar Winter Group 1972

"Autumn" from the 1972 album, "They Only Come Out At Night" by the Edgar Winter Group.

Video montage of Autumn like pictures from Google Images. I own no copyrights to the music or pictures in this video.

One of the first vinyl albums I remember my mom taking me to K-Mart to purchase with my own money...'Frankenstein' and 'Free Ride' were the huge hits everyone was after, but the whole album was great by virtue of some of the musicians involved with the group. Of course this was information I wouldn't really understand until years later.

"Autumn" was recorded on side 2, track 3 of the album and stood out as the softer track on the album, but stands out as a powerful track that has become increasingly popular since the album release. Lyrically somber, it was likely written about a lost love, translated as losing summer for autumn. Musically, there are some nice rolling passages which tie the song together. Just an overall relaxing song to listen to or play along with.

I added some of my own electric piano way down in the mix just for a twist.

Sit back, relax, enlarge your video screen to full and enjoy your first day of Autumn :-)
