Apple Crumble
This recipe is inspired by Chef John of Food Wishes

Ingredients

For the crumble:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) frozen unsalted butter, grated
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 to 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar, or enough for dough to "clump"

For the filling:
- 1 kg peeled and cut apples(weigh after peeling and cutting)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbs lemon zest
- 2 tbs lemon juice
- 2 tbs water
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1/2 tsp salt

I have used a combination of 3 kinds of apples, Granny Smith, Honeycrisp and Golden Delicious.
I baked the crumble in the microwave air fryer, it can also be baked in a convection oven at 375ºF for 45 minutes.
