Disney Classic Cartoon Theme Music (1940s) [RE-ENGINEERED in DYNA-STEREO]

Repost in normal full-size of the previous test YouTube Short made of a famous Walt Disney cartoon theme song. 9x16 is such a crappy format and creators must watch out for those overlays! Anyways we always learn - speaking of which...READ MORE...

RE-MASTERED in STEREO! - - There were many musical composers who worked for Disney during the 1940s - also known as the "Golden Age" of animated theatrical cartoons.

Many of the music composers worked on the 'Short Subject' theatrical cartoons that Walt Disney had created for his then-distributor RKO-Radio Pictures, Inc. (later distributed by Disney's own Buena Vista) for release.

Featured in this YouTube short is my personal favorite Disney "character theme song" (known as a 'leitmotif' for you musicians out there) that doesn't sound, er 'Mickey Mouse'-like... such as the other, more-bouncy Goofy theme - which is more well-known (heard at the endscreen in normal mono (in similar excellent quality as the original source of this theme!).

Oops, gave it away - yes, this theme was used for a few mid-40s Goofy cartoons. Maybe it sounded dated by the late '40s with the big band swing feel? Either way, prefer this theme over the 'other' theme at the end.

PS Love the sax solo.

Don't ask me anything Disney though, I was a Warner Brothers Looney Tunes fan - and grew up watching Bugs (and Woody Woodpecker), so I'm more of a Carl Stalling and Milt Franklyn guy. And a little Darrell Calker Swing from the early Alex Lovy 'Woodies' (Let's forget about Clarence Wheeler)...Oh, and don't forget Scott Bradley's Tom and Jerry scores for MGM.

Disney cartoons, on the other hand, were only for Sunday nights on NBC - and they'd rarely show the good 'classic' cartoons (just like today!!!) from where this theme came from.
--TECHNICAL NOTE: For you techies out there, this 'new sound' was engineered using 4 different Goofy cartoon opens and closes and LAYERING them (while EQing them and mixing them differently, duplicated into 8 tracks - each with embedded stereo FX) into a new higher-fidelity stereo imaging mix (not, it's not TRUE stereo, silly). This different technique of 'extra saturation' re-engineering also proves Disney re-used his music tracks in the 1940s for multiple cartoon releases without new recordings being made for the opening titles.

The composer of the particular cartoon opening theme would have to segue in-key (which is Eb [E-flat]) for you budding musicians. Enjoy!
