Is mucus good or bad? Mucus (or snot) is actually one of the unsung heroes of our bodies. But why is snot important? In this video, I’ll explain what mucus does to the body to protect it, how it strengthens our immune health, and what snot says about your health overall. I’ll break down the role that mucus plays in our nutrition and tell us when a certain food isn’t a great choice for us.
Some common mucus producing foods include dairy, wheat, coffee, corn, soy, fried foods, alcohol, and sugar. Our bodies are unique, so start to pay attention to foods that may produce mucus for YOU. These mucus foods can also cause other food sensitivity symptoms such as bloating and other bodily reactions.
