Although Stonewall Jackson received his now famous nickname at the First Battle of Manassas, he would take on legendary status due to his Valley Campaign. This video begins my multi-part series on Stonewall Jackson's Valley Campaign. Each part of Jackson's movements will be animated to depict how Jackson's army moved up and down the Shenandoah Valley. In this video, Jackson prevents James Shields from attacking the rear of his army and Richard Ewell defeats John C. Fremont at the Battle of Cross Keys.
