I can’t believe I caught my 2 year old son singing this song!😩😭

We left church this day in January & it was the first time Kyler ever heard the song “I Speak Jesus” by @charity_gayle. A few hours later at the mall he just randomly started singing it, out of no where, word for word. Like, the fact that in a busy place with distractions all around, the song that is playing in his heart & mind is the TRUTH of Jesus. Oh, my mom heart😭

Ya’ll already know he loves worship music & he’s always had the most amazing memory. Since he could speak, his repetition and memory has always shocked us but this moment right here brought me to tears. How could a 2 year old remember all those words and the melody of a song he only heard ONCE?!😩

And to know that he’s not repeating just any nursery rhyme, but he’s literally speaking the POWER, AUTHORITY and the NAME of Jesus.

The name that truly BREAKS EVERY STRONGHOLD.

The name that defeats all FEAR and ANXIETY.

The name of the PRINCE OF PEACE.

The name of the ONE who HEALS us.

The name ABOVE EVERY OTHER NAME… our beautiful Jesus😭😭😭

This little moment just further confirmed what God has been speaking to me about for the next steps of raising up our children in the ways of the Lord.

Needless to say, Kyler’s been asking (well, demanding) Alexa to play this song 100 times a day for the past month lol. One night in the middle of the night, I woke up to him singing it in his sleep. The exact line “your name is healing, your name is lifeee”. We were both literally knocked out but God made sure I woke up at that exact moment to hear him declare that over us. And it was a time where I needed to trust God for healing in a BIG way.

We have a loving Father ya’ll. He speaks to us and really is so intentional in everything he does😭

I pray this encourages you, as a parent, to remember to guard your children’s ears and eye gates and allow them to be filled and surrounded by music that edifies them and reminds them of Jesus’ love and power. It will truly change the trajectory of their life, you have no idea.💛
