Here's a really useful 2-5-1 lick I learnt from the great gypsy guitarist Jimmy Rosenberg.

It's easy but sounds great and you can use it in many many tunes.

Here we learn it in the key of C so over the chords Dm7 G7 Cmaj.

Make sure that when you've got it down that you really give it some power. Jimmy would play this kind of lick with a ferocious right hand driving it all the way home.

It's not harmonically sophisticated but has great character and comes in handy especially when the tempo is fast.
