South Florida Marine Electronics Theft - Apprehended

Night Hawk Monitoring remote video surveillance Miami marina security. Night Hawk agents observed two subjects near the entrance of a customer's boat yard. The two subjects had ski masks and gloves on. The subjects were observed entering the boat yard by cutting a chain link fence. Our agents notified the local sheriff's office immediately. The two subjects were able to gain access to several boats in the yard and remove chart plotters and outboard CPU's from several Mercury outboards. Several officers responded to the property and set up a perimeter. The two subjects were noticed a police cruiser near the property with it's lights off so they exited the property, leaving everything behind. The two subjects were then seen approaching their get away car, but decided to flee on foot and try to get out of the police perimeter. Officers then approached a dark colored sedan in a neighboring parking lot where a third subject was found laying back in the driver's seat of the car. Officer's conducted a search of the vehicle and found a trunk load of marine electronics and a peach pair of high heels. The driver was arrested and the electronics were returned to the other marina where they were stolen from earlier that night.
