📍 Maria del Mar is located in the "Busy" zone - the right-hand side of the roundabout. It is a pretty small hotel with great people working there but I personally was not impressed by the beach. The water is not as blue as you would expect and is a bit rocky. (For those, it matters!)
❤️ I adored the yoga/resting terrace they have in the hotel.

𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰:
Tulum has two different types of Hotel Zones near the beach. If you stay in downtown Tulum and you want to bike down to the beachside here is some information you might want to know:

🚲 It takes about 20 minutes to bike down to the beach next to the highway (Concrete Bike Pavement, so you should not worry about biking on the highway.)

🚲 At the end of the road, there is a roundabout (while you are biking from Tulum downtown toward the beach...) where you can go to Tulum's REAL HOTEL ZONE which is the busiest (Right Hand Side of the roundabout)

🚲 On the left, you could bike towards to Tulum Archeological Site passing by many smaller hotels and the most beautiful & famous Tulum beach, called Playa Paraiso. That is the real Tulum Beach in my opinion - calmer water, calmer ambiance, and beautiful palm tree-shaded beach. The right-hand side is a bit rockier with it has bigger waves.
