The PNY CS1311 SSD - Why I bought It - SSD vs HDD CrystalDiskMark Speed Test
In this video, I go over why I bought the PNY CS1311 SSD, how it boosted my performance of my laptop so that I don't have to buy a new one, and comparing the CrystalDiskMark performance report between my western digital HDD and the new PNY SSD

So in this video I will be talking about why I bought the PNY 2.5" Sata III Internal Solid State Drive model CS1311, and I've just bought this recently because my laptop which was slowing down, it had a Western Digital Hard Disk Drive installed. And the reason why I bought an SSD is to really speed up my laptop, and kind of refresh my laptop so that I didn't have to buy a totally new laptop. I needed a refresh because my laptop was really slow while running heavy duty programs for picture editing like GIMP or Photoshop, and for video editing software like Adobe Premiere pro or Adobe After Effects. And I imagine that gamers or those who run video games or resource intensive program on their computer would benefit from using an SSD.
That's because the Hard Disk Drives use by many computers for their storage becomes a major bottle neck to performance. When I switched to an SSD, I noticed that the boot time was at least cut in half, and the lag that I experience with the regular suite of programs I used practically disappears. I'll go ahead and show you the CrystalDiskMark speed results I had with the PNY SSD that I bought and my old Western Digital Hard Disk Drive
specifications
So now I just wanted to go over the specs of the PNY CS1311 SSD.
As I've mentioned before, it is a 2.5" SSD and will fit laptops quite easily. It comes with a spacer so that if needed, the fit will be flush.
It is 6Gb/s
And as you saw in the CrystalDiskMark test, the PNY SSD outperforms its stated read/write speed of 550 Megabytes per second and 520 Megabytes per second
This SSD is green in terms of power consumption, typically consuming 2.5Watts while in action, and barely 0.2watts while idle. There is more detail to that, actually. ...
The Operating Temperature is 0 to 70 degrees celsius
The MTBF, which stands for the "mean time between failures", is a measure of how reliable a hardware product or component is. For most components, the measure is typically in thousands or even tends of thousands of hours between failures. For example, a hard disk drive may have a mean time between failures of 300,00 hours.
On the box, the PNY SSD is rated to an MTBF of 2 million hours.
The Western Digital drives generally provide about 1 million hours of MTBF
Other SSDs, like the Samsung SSD 850 EVO and Crucial are rated to 1.5 million hours. So it looks like the PNY SSDs are more reliable than other in the market.
