So they can be planted at different times and several times per season. I can support the cucumbers vine simply by planting new plants from the seeds I picked last year or, if I want hybrid varieties, from purchased seeds. Two or three times during summer season I can add a few new cucumbers plants to ensure endless crop right until the first frost in fall.
