This video tutorial shows you how to add comments quickly to your Word document using a keyboard shortcut in Windows and how to customize the default shortcut.

The default keyboard shortcut is the same in all versions of Word including MS Word 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 and 2019.

You can however change this shortcut inside Word options by adding a new keyboard combination for the Insert Annotation command in the keyboard customize options as shown in the video.

If your preferred shortcut is already assigned to another command, you can either try another combination or first change the conflicting command to use a different one.
