Timnas Tetap Latihan di Malam Minggu

Tim nasional Indonesia kembali menggelar latihan di Lapangan Madya, Senayan, Jakarta, Sabtu (8/5/2021) malam. Skuat Garuda disiapkan untuk tiga pertandingan Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2022 grup G di Uni Emirat Arab (UEA). Berikut liputan selengkapnya.

Ketum PSSI Mochamad Iriawan tinjau latihan timnas didampingi anggota Komite Eksekutif (Exco) Endri Erawan dan Direktur Teknik Indra Sjafri hadir pada pukul 20.00 WIB. Pada latihan ini seluruh pemain tampak sangat bersemangat dan antusias menikmati semua menu latihan pelatih Shin Tae-yong.

PSSI (the Football Association of Indonesia) is an organization that takes care of football in Indonesia. PSSI was formed on April 19, 1930, in Yogyakarta with Ir. Soeratin Sosrosoegondo as the first general chairman.

PSSI joined the highest governing body of football, FIFA, in 1952. Two years later, precisely in 1954, PSSI joined the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Since escaping from FIFA sanctions imposed in 2015, PSSI is now rising and starting to fix Indonesian football through tons of innovations. In 2016, PSSI woke up from adversity and continued to train to get up. The quality development and capacity building of Indonesian football's human resources have continued to be boosted, ranging from the number of young players, coaches, referees to other football management practitioners.

In 2017, PSSI also began to awaken women's soccer from sleep and continue to develop it. Moreover, PSSI encourages the development of youth soccer by creating continuity between the realm of amateur competition, youth competition, and elite competition in Indonesia.

In September 2019, PSSI officially submits Indonesia bid as the host of the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2021 and Indonesia competed with Peru, Brazil, and three Arab countries (Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates).

With the prayers, efforts, supports, and cooperation of all parties especially Indonesian football fans. On 24 October 2019, Indonesia was officially chosen to host the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup. It was officially announced by President of FIFA, Mr. Gianni Infantino in Shanghai, China.

It is such an honor for PSSI can show how beautiful Indonesia is to the world and get international public trust especially FIFA to become the host country of the 2021 FIFA U-21 World Cup and it’s the first time for Indonesia.

In Indonesia, football is also one of thing that unites us all because 77% of Indonesian people are categorized as football enthusiast. In the total population, Indonesia is the biggest football enthusiast in the world. From this, we invite all Indonesian people to work together, give a great image for Indonesia to be the great host country and memorable event, not only for Indonesia but also for all athletes and football fans from all over the world.
