Timnas Indonesia melaksanakan sholat
Idul Fitri 1442H bersama di hotel Fairmont, pada hari Kamis (13/05/ 2021) pukul 06.30 wib. Skuat Garuda disiapkan untuk tiga pertandingan Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2022 grup G di Uni Emirat Arab (UEA). Berikut informasi selengkapnya.

Pelatih timnas Indonesia, Shin Tae-yong akhirnya memilih 28 pemain yang akan diberangkatkan ke Dubai, Uni Emirat Arab, untuk menjalani tiga sisa lanjutan kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2022 plus dua uji coba di sana.

Dari 28 pemain itu, 5 di antaranya akan langsung terbang ke Dubai. Mereka ialah Elkan Baggott (Inggris), Asnawi Mangkualam (Korea Selatan), Egy Maulana (Polandia), Witan Sulaeman (Serbia), dan Ryuji Utomo (Malaysia). Sedangkan skuad yang tinggal di Jakarta akan berangkat pada Senin (17/5) pukul 00.40 WIB.

Indonesia akan melawan Thailand pada 3 Juni, lalu Vietnam 7 Juni, dan terakhir UEA pada 11 Juni. AFC telah memilih UEA sebagai lokasi sentralisasi lanjutan Kualifikasi Piala Dunia untuk Grup G.

Selain menjalani tiga pertandingan Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2022, skuat Garuda juga akan melakukan dua laga uji coba melawan Afghanistan (25/5) dan Oman (29/5).

PSSI (the Football Association of Indonesia) is an organization that takes care of football in Indonesia. PSSI was formed on April 19, 1930, in Yogyakarta with Ir. Soeratin Sosrosoegondo as the first general chairman.

In 2017, PSSI also began to awaken women's soccer from sleep and continue to develop it. Moreover, PSSI encourages the development of youth soccer by creating continuity between the realm of amateur competition, youth competition, and elite competition in Indonesia.

In September 2019, PSSI officially submits Indonesia bid as the host of the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2021 and Indonesia competed with Peru, Brazil, and three Arab countries (Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates).

With the prayers, efforts, supports, and cooperation of all parties especially Indonesian football fans. On 24 October 2019, Indonesia was officially chosen to host the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup. It was officially announced by President of FIFA, Mr. Gianni Infantino in Shanghai, China.

It is such an honor for PSSI can show how beautiful Indonesia is to the world and get international public trust especially FIFA to become the host country of the 2021 FIFA U-21 World Cup and it’s the first time for Indonesia.

In Indonesia, football is also one of thing that unites us all because 77% of Indonesian people are categorized as football enthusiast. In the total population, Indonesia is the biggest football enthusiast in the world. From this, we invite all Indonesian people to work together, give a great image for Indonesia to be the great host country and memorable event, not only for Indonesia but also for all athletes and football fans from all over the world.
