"Architecture must fulfill a social purpose." Architect Of The Year - Francis Kéré

When Francis Kéré came to Germany from Burkina Faso at the age of 20, he really only wanted to learn as quickly as possible how to build houses and then return to Africa. He didn’t know what an architect was and that in Germany you have to go to university to become one. Today he designs buildings worldwide and was named architect of the year in 2021 in Germany.
