✰CHICKPEA CHANA MASALA RECIPE✰
⭑Ingredients⭑
-½ white onion (diced)
-½ tsp. Garlic powder (or 2 minced garlic cloves)
-2 tsp. Garam masala
-2 tsp. Turmeric powder
-1 tsp. Cumin
-dash of cayenne pepper
-1 cup crushed tomato
-1 cup full-fat coconut milk
-1 can of chickpeas (rinsed and drained)
-a couple handfuls of spinach
-avocado oil (for the pan)
1. In a pot, add in the avocado oil, diced onion, and garlic (powder) and cook for about 5-6 minutes, until translucent.
2. Add the crushed tomatoes, coconut milk, and spices. Let simmer for about 5 minutes before adding in the chickpeas.
3. Cover the mixture and let simmer for an additional 15 minutes.
4. Add in the spinach and serve with brown rice and naan bread!
