Over Christmas we've been working hard to install our new and shiny electrical system. We made the decision to completely overhaul and upgrade our electrics not long ago - whilst ripping out the van interior, it just made sense to do it all at the same time. Taking the lessons from the last year of living in DeeDee, we now know how much power we use on an average day and more importantly what a bad week of power looks like for us, and how to manage an improve our setup for those situations.

Who are we?
Hello, we're Courtney & James (or Courts & Meeks to our nearest and dearest), and we live full-time in our self-converted 2012 Mercedes Sprinter van called DeeDee with our Spanish rescue dog Sally Sausage. In March 2018, we purchased DeeDee and spent the next 18 months slowly converting her into our dream tiny home on wheels, whilst working full-time jobs. Since January 2020 we have been working remotely part-time from the van whilst travelling Europe, and we're now back in the UK ripping out our interior and renovating our van.
