We have NO BREAKDOWN COVER in Turkey! - campervan clutch is broken

When you think of Vanlife in Turkey you think of exploring the unknown, taking your tiny home on wheels to exotic lands and travelling off the beaten path...... well that isn't how it has started for us!!

This week we show you how a real van life nightmare unfolded, from the elation of driving to Asia, to minutes later being stranded at the side of the road! This rollercoaster of emotions doesn't stop there with questionable tow trucks, extensive Google translate and an extended stay in a rather posh hotel!

We're so grateful for the kindness of every single person we met on this crazy journey, we are honestly blown away by how helpful and caring every Turkish person has been. A special shout out has to go to Engin and his generous family! Despite the language barrier, Engin went out of his way to help us, look after us and check in with how we were doing throughout the whole week. To top this off, he took us to meet his wonderful family where we shared Turkish coffee and treats. We'll forever be in your debt Engin and would still be stuck on the side of the road without your kindness.
