Well, in essence this is quite simple. Your body is in a constant process of building up and breaking down muscle tissue. And you want to shift those balances
In order to gain muscle as efficiently as possible you need resistance training with a focus on progressive overload.
- So train harder each week; do about 6-12 reps per set, and try to up the weight each week. For beginners it is best to train all muscle groups about 3-4 times each week.
- Maintain a proper sleep schedule, as this helps your muscles to repair.
- And perfect your nutrition. Research suggests about 1.6 grams of protein per kg of body weight per day.
So get training.
