It would have been really hard leaving Medicine Bow National Forest (if you missed last week’s episode, you can check it out here: https://youtu.be/66hky28S7_8 ), if we weren’t heading to the ranch we have helped out on for the last 5 years! NOTE: the ranch is owned by family friends and is NOT open to the public.

We had never taken this northern route up to the ranch before, and once again, we were reminded that even after being on the road full time for 5 years, we still have not even come close to seeing everything this country has to offer!

Camping at Saratoga Lake Campground was the perfect spot to stop for a night to restock and to check out the FREE hot springs that are right in town. Don’t forget to stop at the local grocery store while you are there next time! There are some fun surprises for you! We aren’t “lion”!

We also talk about the “Bonus Shower”. If you don’t know, this is when you have been boondocking for a little bit and have been very careful with your fresh water and grey water tanks. Instead of just dumping your tanks and getting water for the next boondocking spot, you empty your grey tank, fill your fresh water tank and pull away from the dump off to the side of the parking lot and take a bonus shower. Then when everyone is done, you pull back up to the dump station, dump and clean your tanks! You and your RV are good to go!
