RVING in VIRGINIA, BOATING VIRGINIA BEACH, and CAMPING ON A FARM S1 || Ep13

After helping Jess’ grandmother get her 2014 Class C shined up and listed, we headed to Rome, GA, to see family there for a few days. We got to visit with dear friends who used to be our neighbors in Maine who drove down from Tennessee while we were there.

On our way to our old stomping grounds in Virginia Beach, VA, we stopped at Brown’s RV in McBee, SC, where we purchased our rig to get some warrantee work done. They had us in and out in less than an hour, and we continued on our way to where our story began. We were married while Corey was in the Navy and based in Norfolk, and Virginia Beach was our first home together. We loved showing the girls where we lived and places we loved to go 17 years ago!

We spent much of our time with our friends, Ron and Elizabeth, on their deep sea fishing boat in Virginia Beach and the Chesapeake Bay. We spent time at the marina at Decoy’s restaurant and loved getting to know such a beautiful boat! For more info about deep sea fishing on the Southern Belle, visit :

We weren’t able to fit the RV in Ron’s driveway because of the pitch, so we ended up staying on his friend and neighbor’s stunning farm next door. Gray welcomed us and was a gracious host, providing BBQ’s and fires during our stay. His “pet bull”, Henry, become our mascot while staying on the farm! Our time in Suffolk excited us about staying on other farms and ranches in the future.

Virginia Beach brought us one step closer to getting back home to Maine for Jess’ sister’s wedding. Next up is Maryland and Washington, DC!
