After staying on Mt Desert Island and visiting Acadia National Park’s island side, we left the Thousand Trails Encore Park, Mt Desert Narrows, and headed up the coast to the Schoodic Peninsula side of the park. We checked into Acadia Seashore Campground and scored a last minute waterfront cancelation!

This spot was officially the closest we have ever gotten to hitting something with our slide! We enjoyed our sandwiches on the top of Cadillac Mountain so much (see here for that episode: https://youtu.be/7tevWm93BgE ) that we brought sandwiches on our trip out to the Schoodic Peninsula loop to try to find a spot to eat dinner.

Our plans were slightly altered by the fog that rolled in, but Corey was able to show the girls where he stayed at the Schoodic Institute helping out on a project with his friend’s construction company. Corey was also reminded that night of how unpredictable the ocean is!

We decided to leave the fog and head back to the campground for dinner and the sunset, and Corey and the girls decided to do some night time creature hunting at low tide right behind our campsite!
