How to Enable Camera on Laptop or PC - Settings Tutorial

Enabling your camera on a Windows laptop or PC involves adjusting privacy settings through the Windows Settings menu and optionally managing device permissions, ensuring your camera is accessible to apps you trust.
Enabling Camera on Windows 10

Open Settings: Press Windows + I or click the Start menu and select the gear icon

Go to Privacy: In Settings, click Privacy to manage device permissions

Select Camera: From the left sidebar, click Camera to open camera access settings

Turn On Camera Access: Toggle "Allow apps to access your camera" to On

Enable Camera for Specific Apps: Scroll down to grant access to individual apps like Zoom, Teams, or Skype

Test Your Camera: Open the Camera app by typing "Camera" in the search bar and pressing Enter

You should see a live feed if it’s working successfully.
