Oris Divers 65 Hodinkee Limited Edition- Loves/Hates 2 Years Later- My Take On The Latest Collab

Last week Hodinkee released their second collaboration with Oris and it was met with much excitement as it sold out in less than two days. Seeing the new watch made me think about my personal Oris x Hodinkee limited edition Divers 65 from two years ago. In this video I will be reviewing my last 2 years with it by discussing what I love about the watch and what I dislike about it. Also I will also talk about the latest release and see how it compares to my watch. There is alot to love about these watch considering it is based off of an already popular dive watch.

The Oris Divers 65 came out in 2015 and was pretty much instantly loved by the watch community as it was an amazing and a uniquely styled vintage dive watch. To make things better it was offered at a value packed price. More models were being added and then the biggest watch publication made a bold move. Hodinkee collaborated with Oris to create a 250 piece limited edition version of the much beloved Divers 65. When it was released in July 2019 it was one of the most successful limited edition runs as it sold out in under 15 minutes.

This Oris x Hodinkee limited edition Divers 65 was inspired by the ghost bezels of vintage Rolex Submariners from back in the day. To create this effect a soft grey dial was chosen to represent a faded dial and then a silvery aluminum bezel was chosen in order to represent a ghost bezel (a faded bezel that is very coveted by collectors). This latest Divers 65 was inspired by adventures in the forest as it sports a subdued forest green dial and a black countdown bezel.
