Pravin is an Engineering dropout. He took a decision of dropping out his studies because he experienced the grim scenario of girls in India. He had a strong urge to create life easier for girls and educate the society about menstruation and periods.
Pravin Nikam is a social activist, an educator, a gender equality advocate, an environmentalist, an independent thinker, a young scholar, a writer, a motivational speaker and a humanitarian.
He has conducted extensive research in understanding the scenario of menstrual awareness in India and it's impact on a girl's life. He has designed effective educational tools for girls and schools using story telling and activity based learning for young girls about periods in a society where the subject is a major taboo.
He is a National Youth Award recipient for providing education to children and improving health conditions of teenage girls & women and is serving as Asia Regional Youth Representative at Commonwealth Youth Council. He was named a Peace Scholar for his work in the field of conflict prevention and is a Global Youth Ambassador.
