‘We draw closer to North Korea’ with Victoria’s ‘latest rubbish’: Alan Jones
Sky News host Alan Jones says “we draw closer to North Korea” every day as Victoria is set to be plunged into a “totalitarian” lockdown.
The city will go into a seven-day circuit breaker lockdown from midnight after the cluster in the northern suburbs grew to 26.
“What have we learnt in 15 months?” Mr Jones said.
“We’ve been led by the nose only to realise the sheer incompetence of government with almost everything associated with this coronavirus.
“Why are we where we are? Simple, a total failure of government.”
According to Mr Jones, if lockdowns are the best politicians can do to handle a couple of dozen coronavirus cases in light of everything which is known, then “we need different politicians”.
“We are a civilised society, so we must control our anger,” he said.
“But can I say to the people of Victoria, there are millions like me just shaking their heads.”
