Flash floods wreaked havoc in Nepal’s Sindhupalchowk district on June 16, 2021, as heavy monsoon rains batter the country. As of June 18, 11 people were killed, including one Indian national and 2 Chinese workers. Authorities have been carrying out rescue and evacuation operations in the area to help stranded residents, as at least 25 people are missing. There have also been casualties in neighbouring Bhutan, where 10 people died and five were injured from floods.
