Life and Death Decisions: Product Lessons From a Pandemic CPO with Randeep Sidhu

In 2020, Randeep was parachuted into government at short notice and built the NHS Covid 19 app in just 6 weeks. It saved thousands of lives – but it was not destined for success.

What techniques helped this app succeed where others failed? How did he have impact, and fun, in the face of such chaos? 🧐

Randeep, (formerly Chief Product Officer for Reliance Health, advisor at The Alan Turing Institute and Product Director at Babylon Health) condenses his experiences across private and public healthcare including at Babylon Health and the Terrence Higgins Trust, into 5 practical examples that help with your challenges whatever your industry.

He covers how humans work together, or don’t, to build products with real impact.

About Randeep Sidu:

ℹ️ Randeep is a Healthcare and AI specialist. He was recently Chief Product Officer for Reliance Health, a health tech headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria focused on creating healthcare for marginalised communities across Nigeria, Egypt and other Emerging Markets.

In July 2020, Randeep joined the NHS frontline to build and run the NHS COVID-19 app, which was proven to have saved over 10,000 lives and halved the number of Covid cases in hospital, while pioneering specific research to include the needs of LGBTQ+, refugees and PoC communities.

He has previously supported and advised The Alan Turing Institute – the UK’s National Institute for AI – in removing AI bias across healthcare and policing.

He was also previously a Product Director at Babylon Health, where he rolled out AI enabled healthcare to patients across markets like UK, USA and Rwanda.

Randeep is currently a board member at Terrence Higgins Trust – a sexual health and HIV charity, and LVNDR Health – an LGBTQ+ health care startup.
