Years Played: the Mid to late 1960s
Venues: Those were the days of dances. Schools, churches, pools, playgrounds. We eventually started to also play fraternity parties at Kutztown College and Albright College. We weren’t even old enough to drive.
"Cindy" Ken and I wrote a song titled “Cindy”. We even produced and recorded a 45 record. The flip side was a cover of The Rascal's hit “Love is a Beautiful Thing”
“Northwest” We were all from the northwest part of Reading. There was Northwest Junior High (part of the Reading School District) and Northwest Pool. Many of the folks who followed The P&J’s were from this school, pool, and part of town.
Hall of Fame Fast forward. 2017. Ken Bagenstose informs us we are going to be inducted into the Berks County Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and play in their annual festival. We were getting the band back together again (after 50 years). We spent roughly a year practicing once a week getting ready for our 45 minute set at the festival. Although a lot older and slower, many of the old Northwest gang of people came for the show.

Berks County Rock & Roll Hall of Fame The Berks County Historical Society is kind enough to donate a section of their museum to this Hall of Fame. They induct a class of members (groups and individuals) each year. The Historical Society houses memorabilia as well as the names of all groups and individuals that have been inducted. .
