Me and Bobby McGee - Woodstock 50 Year Reunion - Lancaster, PA

"Me and Bobby McGee" is being performed at the Woodstock 50 Year Reunion in Lancaster, PA. "Me and Bobby McGee" is a song written by American singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson and originally performed by Roger Miller. Fred Foster shares the writing credit, as Kristofferson intended. A posthumously released version by Janis Joplin topped the U.S. singles chart in 1971. Phil Kresge had an idea to celebrate the music of Woodstock. This year marks the 50th anniversary of this monumental event in music history. So Phil decided to ask many local musicians if they'd be willing to participate. On August 17, 2019, at Longs Park, they recreated the music of many of the artists that appeared there. Some of the local artists appearing are from such bands as the Cheeze Brothers and Sisters, Pocketful of Soul and Party of 5. Katie Kresge Camilleri is singing lead vocals.
