How to make River & Waterfall Cake by Madhavee Anthony | ගඟදිගේ කේක් එක with English Subtitles

Ingredients
• Ground and Colored Marie Biscuits
• Piping Gel
• Marshmallow Fondant
• Colored Popcorn
• Melted White Chocolate
• Chocolate Cake Crumbs
• 3 Kilos Chocolate Cake
• Gelatin Dissolved in Hot Water (Thick Consistency)
Method:
1. Stack the layers on a cake board with Buttercream
2. Damp each layer of cake with Simple syrup
3. Carve the necessary shape out of the cake structure
4. Insert a skew to help the structure to hold together
5. Crumb-coat with chocolate Buttercream
6. Refrigerate till firm
7. Apply Melted White Chocolate
8. Refrigerate again
9. Make the necessary figures and objects with the fondant
10. Sprinkle the crushed Marie Biscuits on the cake
11. Match the colors to a natural hill
12. Add the Jelly
13. Add the Piping Gel
14. Fix the popcorn with toothpicks as trees
15. Finally Add in the Objects
16. Here’s the “Ganga Dige Cake” (River Cake)
Piping Gel Reciepe:
Ingredients:
1 cup white corn syrup
1 cup cold water
8 teaspoons cornstarch (or more if needed for desired consistency)
1 teaspoon white vanilla
food coloring
Method:
In microwaveable bowl, mix cold water and cornstarch together.
Add corn syrup and white vanilla, and stir until combined.
Microwave on high for 1min 30sec - 2 min until mixture boils and turns clear.
Remove from microwave and let cool (whisk occasionally while cooling).
Add food dye (gel) to make desired color.
