Yes, we are back with the MetSoc minutes. I know it has been over 7 months but you are all aware of the circumstances and I thank you now for tuning in.

Like many, our conference Uranium and COM won't take place in person however we are so pleased that to transform both conferences into a digital conference format for the community. Mark your calendars because October 14-15 we will be presenting some live content of our conference. Our on-demand presentations will be available for registered conference delegates for an extended period after the live dates. We have two new publications that will be made available for sale on the CIM Bookstore- the U2020 International conference proceedings and the 59th Conference of Metallurgists Proceedings. These will be published in October. Those who register for the Digital conference will receive them free, others can purchase the electronic proceedings on our bookstore.

At the administration level, Metsoc has elected a nominee for the position of 3rd VP Roki Fukuzawa of Hatch. We will be having our Annual general meeting on August 25th at 11:30. This 30 minutes session is free and as members, you are welcome to join to hear the changes that will take place in the coming year.

At the international level, we have signed an agreement with TMS, SME to host another Extraction conference. The extraction 2018 conference was very well received and the next edition will take place in 2025.

Closer to home we continue to plan ahead and are pursuing our active planning of the 60th Anniversary of COM next year. The Conference of Metallurgists will take place in August 2021 in beautiful Halifax Nova Scotia. We are all hoping you will meet us there in person.
