On Saturday evening, the traditional flying portion of the Beach Blast is kicked off by a single F/A-18F Super Hornet from VFA-106 "Gladiators" making several passes

over the beach in afterburner. This is followed by Skydive Suffolk making their third jump of the day - this time descending upon the oceanfront in Virginia Beach. Finally,

airshow announcer Rob Reider helps to introduce the Blue Angels to the waiting crowd.
