How SMEs can overcome export barriers in a changing trade landscape

A study of more than 3,000 UK businesses by Alibaba Group, in partnership with the Institute of Export & International Trade (IOE&IT), has found that a quarter of SMEs do not currently export.

However, the same research finds that 82% of exporters say their international trade fuels innovation, with 81% saying exporting has made their business stronger.

In this free, one-hour webinar, trade and customs experts at IOE&IT and Alibaba Group gave an overview of the research findings, the ways that digitalisation can help boost trade and explore some of the barriers businesses face when starting to export and how successful exporters are overcoming these.
