Please take the time to watch and share this powerful testimony of Ltn John Morgan Welch, veteran of the 4th Infantry Division who landed on Utah Beach during the Normandy invasion.
Ltn Welch was a platoon leader on June 6, 1944 when he stormed the beaches of Normandy. For him and all the men of the "Ivy" Division, Normandy would be a bloody introduction to war. Lt Welch almost got killed in France when he was directly hit on his chest by a piece of shrapnel. The cover of his Holy Bible sent by his mum a few months before the invasion saved his life that day !
