46115 Loaded Test Run 05-06-2013

I did head up to Pleasington to catch 46115 on its loaded test run, however there are 2 reasons why the shot is not displayed here; firstly because it was only doing about 15-20mph through the station and doing nothing and secondly because I didn't press the record button hard enough, something I only realised just after the loco had passed me. At that point, I thought it was a waste of £7.15 getting up here, however it was just blind luck that when I arrived back at Preston, 46115 was sat in platform 7 awaiting a path north. about 10 minutes later, the scot finally departed after the passage of several service trains, making a large amount of noise, just for once not ruined by the noise of drain cocks. The police helicopter overhead could have picked a better minute to come by, but I suppose you can't have everything...
