In 1994, Ms. VINA MORALES and The CompanY, Asia's premier vocal harmony group, performed the NOMINATED MOVIE THEME SONGS MEDLEY at the 1994 FAMAS Awards. Originally sung by The Boyfriends - one of the prominent groups of the Manila Sound era in the 1970's, "Dahil Mahal Kita'" needed a fresh arrangement in the company of ballads: Kung Sa Akin Lang (Monique Wilson), Pasko Na Sinta Ko (Gary Valenciano) and Ikaw (Sharon Cuneta). The passionate singing of the 19-year old Vina Morales and The CompanY's outstanding vocal harmonization skills made more distinct the contrapuntal relationship I created between "Dahil Mahal Kita" and "Ikaw". Incidentally, I was the musical director of Vina Morales in her first major concert at the Music Museum.
