Several women dead in Bihar temple stampede

On a crowded Tuesday morning in Bihar’s Nalanda district, what began as a routine day of prayer turned into a tragedy.

Several people, most of them women, were killed in a stampede at the Sheetla Mata Temple on March 31, 2026. Several others were injured, and the death toll is feared to rise.
