WB polls: BJP candidate Agnimitra Paul’s car attacked in Asansol
An incident of violence has been reported from Asansol as polling began in West Bengal. BJP candidate Agnimitra Paul alleged that her car was attacked near Rahmat Nagar while she was leaving a polling booth in Asansol Dakshin.
Police confirmed that stones were pelted at the vehicle, shattering its rear window. Paul has termed the attack deliberate and aimed at influencing the election, and has filed a complaint.
