Body Feeling Old? Tackle Muscle Tension To 'Move' Younger
Fascia is the glad wrap around muscles. It shortens over time with sitting, working, driving, you name it.
The first component of losing our younger body, is due to fascia. Simply put, we start to 'shrink wrap'!
Often that shortening happens through our diaphragm first, (at the top of the belly). Lose a few millimetres around that centre of gravity area and all of a sudden the body moves differently. Not as supple, less rotation options. Males will usually 'block' in a side to side walking action and females will often just keep their upper body quite still, (minimal rotation).
When that happens, load is not evenly distributed through the entire spine and certain areas have to do more. This leads to less efficient movement that can causes some areas increase forces which can lead to pain and even degeneration over time.
Targeting fascia is a good way to take back that length.
