Could You ID These Animals on Safari?

In this episode I take you on safari through a wilderness area in Southern Africa. Through the course of the day I spot and identify the species I come across in a variety of habitats. I film 15 notable species on this safari journey, from the herbivores such as the zebra, springbok, giraffe, impala, red hartebeest, wildebeest to the predators such as the spotted hyena and the brown snake eagle. I also spot a marsh terrapin in a pond. I hope this episode helps you learn a few of the species you may encounter on safari, and also learn more about the difference between grazers and browsers.

This is due to many reasons but what we know for sure is to keep the planet's amazing diversity of wildlife we need to learn as much as possible about where and how these creatures live their lives. Collating all the data we are gathering will help build a picture of which habitats are key to sustaining the largest diversity of life on planet earth.
