Getting stuff done! Errands, Chores & Tourist Visa. Being a local on Pico Island Portugal. Episode 6

On this video; come with us while we get some things done on Pico Island. We head over to the town of Madalena to buy a few things, do some banking and get information on extending Laura's tourist visa.

We also take a mental break on the way back home to Lajes. We spend some down time relaxing at the lighthouse on the coast of Sao Mateus vineyard village. This iconic lighthouse has the ocean to one side and Pico mountain to the other, while surrounded by vineyards.

One of the days we take a drive to the villages of Ribeirinha and Piedade to buy a dryer. While in Ribeirinha we stop at the ceramic shop of Barro e Barro; this quaint shop has amazing gifts. We did also stop in Piedade and visited another pottery shop(Ouleiro); had a nice visit with the Belgium owners. Unfortunately our camera ran out juice; will go back another time. We did make a couple of stops along the way, just to admire the amazing scenery of the dramatic south coast of the island.

Mid week we continue to work on clearing some weeds from our garden; everything grows so quick here. We finally found some ceramic pots, Laura's succulent plants have a home now.

On Saturday we visited a small village market in Lajes; we bought some fresh vegetables for our butternut squash and pumpkin soup.
