Cello Suite No. 4 in E-flat major, BWV 1010 (piano transcription for the left hand alone)

While all the intonation issues for the cellist become irrelevant for the pianist, having the tonic as a black key introduces several technical problems such as the stability of leaps (Prelude, Gigue) and the evenness of five-finger scales (Allemande, Bourrée I). My hand is often stretched to its limit in the Sarabande given the prevalence of eleventh intervals. The biggest challenge awaits the performer in the final movement, a perpetual and virtuosic gigue, which has the illusion of multiple voices but without a single double stop.

I will need considerably more time to prepare Suites 5 and 6 due to their difficulty.
