Easy Roast BBQ Pork Recipe :: ‘Black’ Char Siu :: 黑 叉烧蜜汁
One of the signature dish of Cantonese cuisine that is enjoyed by many worldwide. It’s surprisingly easy to prepare and simply roast it in an oven! Caramelized into a glistening perfection, it will be the highlight of the meal!

🛒Ingredients:
Approx. 400 to 450g pork shoulder (thick cut)
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp shao xing chinese cooking wine (if you can’t find this, mirin is possible too)
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/3 teaspoon five spice powder
A pinch of white pepper
1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic
3 tbsp brown sugar
(When roasting: 2 tbsp honey. Or corn syrup is suitable as well.)
🕒Cooking time:
Marinate for at least 4 hours. At best overnight.
Prepare for 2 roast. (Total: 45mins)
**Let the meat rest for 15-20mins (Not 5mins!) before serving. This will ensure the moisture is kept in the meat.
🛒材料:
猪肩肉 400 – 450公克 (后片)
老抽/黑酱油 1 匙
生抽/酱青 1匙
绍兴酒 1匙 (味醂也可以。)
蚝油 1匙
五香粉 1/3 茶匙
白胡椒少许
蒜末1/2 茶匙
砂糖3匙
( 烘烤时:蜂蜜2匙 。或玉米糖浆也适宜。)
🕒烹煮时间:
腌制4小时以上。隔夜为佳。
预备烘烤两次。(综合:45分钟)
放置15-20分钟(不是5分钟!)后再切块。
这样能让肉汁均匀分布在肉中。
