Meteorite Men | S01 E01 | Buzzard Coulee & Whitecourt Crater

In the first episode of Season One, Steve and Geoff head to the Great White North to investigate the sky-splitting Buzzard Coulee winter fireball which dropped hundreds, or perhaps thousands, of space rocks across the plains of Saskatchewan, Canada. As cold weather approaches, an unexpected snowstorm forces a sudden change in plan. They relocate to northern Alberta and are amazed when they receive an unprecedented VIP invitation to explore the newly-discovered Whitecourt meteorite crater. Later, a visit with Dr. Chris Herd at the University of Alberta in Edmonton confirms the significance of the iron meteorites they have found at the crater. Host Geoff Notkin has many times said this is his favorite episode of the multi-award-winning series that has been seen by millions of viewers all over the world.
