A vintage car's AMAL carburettor - but what engine's it from?

Amongst some unidentified car parts is this vintage car carburettor by AMAL, it was found in workshop that belonged to an ardent Austin 7 enthusiast - but does anyone recognise what car this is from? I think it's too large for an A7, but all advice and pointers welcomed, thanks.
ADDED The numbers/letters on the flange appear to read 26 HHR D 8990 if that helps anyone!?!?
