Madeira's heart-stopping Cabo Girão Skywalk (Glass floor above a 580 meter vertical sea cliff!) 🇵🇹

My first full day of sightseeing on the island of Madeira took me to the heart-stopping vertical promontory of Cabo Girão, located roughly 15 km west of the capital of Funchal. This incredible vertical sea cliff stands 580 meters tall above the Atlantic coast, and offers jaw-dropping views of the Madeiran coastline and the sprawling city of Funchal. Apart from the incredible views, you'll also find the FREE OF CHARGE Skywalk - an observation platform with a glass floor, suspended high above the sea below.

After visiting Cabo Girao, I headed to nearby Câmara de Lobos. This quaint fishing town is home to numerous colourful boats, and was a favourite haunt of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
