Cellist and pianist Matthew John is a one-man orchestra. A performing artist since the age of eight, Matthew John uses a pedal-controlled computer to record layer upon layer of cello and piano, creating intricate, haunting, and compelling music. His use of technology produces layers of sound that feel more like orchestrations than a solo instrument. With a devoted, global audience as the orchestra soloist for Andrea Morricone, the Oscar-winning composer of "Cinema Paradiso", Matthew John inspires and entertains.

Bantay Bata (literally translated as "Child Watch") is AFI's program that is geared towards child rescue and protecion. The mission of Bantay Bata is to create and provide a safe, nurturing and loving environment where Filipino children can develop and realize their full potential.The program has evolved to offering medical assistance, free legal counseling services, therapy services, scholarships and parenting seminars among others.
